‘Voiceologist’ for all types of events: Voice Of God – type announcer but much much more than just that.
No surprise if you?ve never heard the word since I?m using it in a new way to describe what I do: but you’ll already know it as Voice Of God – the big voice at an awards or corporate event that gives it ‘zing’ but you never see who’s doing the talking. (In my case, in conventional English with just a hint of Yorkshire – I grew up in Leeds)
Some of the ways you can use my Voiceologist skills:
Co-presenter for awards, with a celeb on stage – the classic “Voice Of God?. Countless celebs and industry chiefs have benefitted from the ?authoritative but friendly? manner, most recently the board of Honda UK and the Association Of British Professional Conference Organisers.
Solo voice presenter, with no presenter on stage.
Anchor for large corporate conferences to keep things grounded with a company/industry chief on stage, or completely solo linking of the whole event.
TV-style continuity for virtual events.
?Voice of the online questions? for virtual or hybrid AGMs and financial briefings.
Hybrid of the above (logically!) for hybrid events – talking separately to real-world and virtual audiences or both together.
Pre-recorded narration of video modules, to provide the same voice all through the event when I?m also doing live VOG. It?s such a good idea I?m surprised more events don?t do it.
Pre-recorded simple announcements and intros from the home studio.
Introducing 7,000 people in Trafalgar Square to the England women’s footballers and the Euros Trophy they?d won at Wembley the night before. Possibly a once-in-a-lifetime gig, that one.
