One of the original “old school” DJs from the early days of house music, he has become a respected elder statesman of the industry. Having experienced the evolution of club culture firsthand, he has played countless venues, witnessed the highs and lows of the scene, and lived to tell the story.
He developed his career performing at some of the UK’s most renowned and established clubs, which eventually led him to Ibiza in 1987. There, he made history as the first DJ to play in more than one club on the island, setting a new trend that clubs soon adopted—rotating DJs rather than relying on only a few residents. This helped elevate Alex’s reputation on the island and launched his career across Europe, at a time when Ibiza was the global hub of house music.
