It takes just under two minutes to cut a portrait silhouette and mount it into a folding wallet card. Guests love watching likenesses of their colleagues appear in the artist’s hands, as if by magic, and anyone can volunteer to pose. Charles started out cutting silhouettes on the streets of Covent Garden and has been at it ever since, including portraits of the late Queen Elizabeth II on three separate occasions.
